Who is responsible
Styver Solutions (Pty) Ltd (registration no. 2026/459872/07), Garsfontein, Pretoria, Gauteng, South Africa, is the responsible party under the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA). Our information officer is Riekert Luies. Contact us at hello@styver.co.
What we collect
- Enquiries: your name, email address, the service you are interested in and your message, from our contact form, email or WhatsApp. If you message us on WhatsApp we also see your phone number.
- Clients: your business name, contact people, billing details and the content you give us for your project.
- Payments: card payments are handled by our payment provider, Paystack. We do not see or store your card number.
- Website visits: our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, such as IP address, browser and pages requested, for security and reliability. We do not use advertising cookies or tracking analytics on this site.
Why we use it
- To reply to you, scope your project and give you a fixed quote.
- To build, host and support your website or app, and to invoice you.
- To meet legal duties, such as keeping tax and accounting records.
- To keep the website and our systems secure.
We use enquiry details because you asked us to contact you. We use client details to carry out our agreement with you, and some records because the law requires them. We do not sell personal information and we do not send marketing emails you did not ask for.
Who we share it with
We share information only with service providers that help us run the business, and only what they need:
- Vercel, which hosts this website.
- Xneelo, which provides our email.
- Cloudflare, which manages our domain name settings.
- Meta (WhatsApp), if you contact us there.
- Paystack, which processes card payments.
- Our accounting and invoicing software.
Some of these providers store data outside South Africa. We use providers that protect personal information to a standard comparable to POPIA. We may also disclose information when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not lead to work: up to 12 months, then we delete them.
- Client records and project files: while we work together and for the period after that which we need to support you.
- Invoices and payment records: five years, as tax law requires.
Keeping it safe
We use encrypted connections, access controls and reputable providers. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your information we will tell you and the Information Regulator as POPIA requires.
Your rights
You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it. You can withdraw your consent at any time. Email hello@styver.co and we will respond within 30 days. Withdrawing consent does not affect what we did before you withdrew it.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa at inforegulator.org.za.
Children
Our services are for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect information from people under 18.
